Time-Line:

In June 1988, Labodia SA was founded by Luc Binet as an independent distributor of diagnostic products. The aim of the new company was to provide immunodiagnostic reagents to Swiss hospital and reference labs. The company headquarters are located in their original premises in Yens.

In 1993, Labodia started its own production of ELISA kits in the autoimmunity field. After a rough starting period, it started building a sound reputation as a manufacturer of affordable, easy-to-use, quality reagents.

In 1996, Labodia started the production of confirmatory tests (Western blots) for Lyme disease in close cooperation with Swiss opinion leaders in this field.

In 2002, Labodia expanded its product range in the field of autoimmunity under the registered brand name Orkit with new ELISA kits.

In 2005, the Lyme product line has been transferred to NovaTec Immundiagnostica while current R&D efforts are focused on autoimmunity.

In 2006, a new ELISA kit for the diagnostic of autoimmune hepatitis with the detection of anti-LKM1 antibodies was developed.

In 2011 Labodia continued in developing new products and launched ranges including surgical instruments, research animal transportation solutions, disposable lab wear solutions, decontamination and microplate seals to name but a few. This move established a new direction for Labodia, as a manufacturer, importer and exporter of larger volumes of equipment for laboratory items.

2012 brought more exiting developments. Labodia formed an alliance with a number of Bio-Technology supply companies with a view to becoming more active in supporting research for the benefit of humanity.

Today Labodia continues to serve Switzerland and now all of Europe & the America's with its oustanding products and services either directly or via distributors.
